We're super excited about the new features that Kickstarter rolled out for their creators on 11/7! This update will help creators promote their campaigns more effectively.
We know what it's like to launch a Kickstarter campaign.
You're excited! You're nervous! You want to make the best impression possible, but you also have no idea what you're doing or how it's going to perform.
As a creator, you might have been frustrated by the inability to effectively market your project on Facebook. It's hard enough getting people excited about your idea, but when you're also trying to track the success of your ads? It can be seriously daunting.
But now, thanks to Kickstarter's recent improvements, that's all changing.
Meta Pixel
Kickstarter has listened to feedback and added a feature that allows you to input the Meta Pixel directly into the campaign page! This will allow creators to make more informed decisions about their ad spend before and during their campaign.
Updated Google Analytics
They've also updated the Google Analytics integration to be Google Analytics 4 (GA4) compatible (in addition to Universal Analytics). The benefits of GA4 including counting multiple conversions per session as well as adding the ability to track and adjust attribution up to seven days post conversion
We're thrilled about these updates because previously only crowdfunding specific agencies were able to effectively run ads as they had developed a survey method that plugs into Kickstarter's backend to collect data. The ability to enter the pixel directly on the campaign page now means this survey is no longer required. This now opens the market for any FB agency to come in and help creators with their FB ads. As creators we're hopeful that this will help to lead to more competition and fair pricing when it comes to the commission being charged by agencies which run FB ads.
