What is a GaN charger?

GaN stands for gallium nitride. It replaces silicon in the parts of a charger that convert power. GaN wastes less energy as heat, so a GaN charger can be much smaller than a silicon charger with the same output. That is why a 280W charger can now fit in a jacket pocket.
Zeus 280W. Its USB-C1 and USB-C2 ports each give up to 140W, the same output as the charger Apple supplies with the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Omega 200W and Omega 100W give up to 100W, which suits a 14-inch MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air.
Can I charge two laptops at once?
Yes. Zeus 280W gives up to 140W to each of two laptops on USB-C1 and USB-C2. Omega 200W gives up to 100W to each of two laptops.
Does every port get full power when everything is plugged in?
No, and no multi-port charger does. The laptop port is protected and the other ports share what is left. With all four ports in use, Zeus 280W gives 140W, 100W, 15W and 15W. Omega 200W gives 100W, 65W, 12W and 12W. Plug your laptop into USB-C1 so it always gets the most power.
Will these chargers work overseas?
Yes. Zeus and Omega chargers accept 100 to 240V, so they work on any mains supply. Zeus comes with US, UK, EU and AU plugs, and Omega has built-in US prongs plus AU, EU and UK adapters, for use in 150+ countries. G6 and G6 Pro are travel adapters with the plugs built in.
Do I need a special cable?
For more than 60W, use a USB-C cable rated for 100W. For the full 140W from Zeus, use a USB-C cable rated for 240W. A lower-rated cable still works, but it charges more slowly.
